Design & launch new product & administration platform

Following a strategic review, this leading mutual insurance company decided to launch a new range of Protection products. We were engaged to work with the marketing and customer servicing teams to support the design of the product range and the administration processes and to prepare the Business case for the Board., .

In a mixed team of client and Optimos consultants, we engaged on five clear workstreams:

  • Establish stakeholder objectives, measures and outline SLAs
  • Design Governance responsibilities, reporting mechanisms & termination rights
  • Model the economics & commercials including potential development costs
  • Design the administration and customer servicing processes & hand-offs and technology support
  • Develop an implementation plan, risks & issues

From a review of market-leading relationships, we put together a "Heads of Agreement" to be used by our client in negotiations with third party administrators. We identified the key evaluation & selection criteria and managed the client through the process to a final decision.
