Provide interim IT management
One of our senior consultants was selected as Head of Enterprise Systems on an interim basis for six months to manage a team of around 200 IT staff and provide stability during a period of significant business and IT change.
There were four clear objectives within the assignment:
- Immediate support of all business critical operational systems
- Take-on of all major development projects
- Establishing an effective organisation structure, identifying a new management team & devising a succession plan for each key position
- Supporting the development of an internal bid to support the tender of business and IT functions to the market
The work involved the IT support for all UK Life protection brands, new web-based developments, the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence functions and a major project to route work to an overseas administration unit in India.
