Outsource IT to Indian offshore
One of our senior consultats was seconded as Head of IT on an interim basis for six months to lead the IT function for one of the UK's leading long-term savings providers during a period of significant upheaval as 250 staff and systems were outsourced to a leading Indian offshore provider. .
Key Challenge
To provide effective management & leadership to a dis-spirited and de-motivated team of IT people during a period of great uncertainty and ill-feeling
The work focused around four main objectives:
- Re-shape the organisation & recruit additional interim managers to provide all staff with good quality management
- Design & implement more frequent & improved communications with staff
- Established mentoring & coaching for key individuals
- Re-instigated promotions & salary reviews and ran social events to improve staff integration with 3rd party
As a result, the TUPE transfer of staff was completed successfully to time, cost and quality with the number of staff leaving reduced to acceptable levels prior to the switch of service.
