A MAJOR BRITISH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

We sourced £3.75bn of technology spend data from multiple systems, translated into a single format and collated into a single repository of IT budgets and spend. This was uploaded to the financial management system, enabling the bank to make forward projections of spend by Supplier, Cost Centre & Category.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Optimos over the past 2 years in Cost Management, during which time I have found their professionalism and can do attitude outstanding. Their approach to making things simple for the greater good of an organisation as a whole is first class.  I would not hesitate to recommend or employ again".

Head of IT Cost Management

A GLOBAL FINANCIAL SERVICE GROUP

We conducted a partner profitability analysis in a market leading business service. Alongside a 3 year profitability forecast, we delivered a view of 25 corporate partners with strategy planning assumptions. This enabled us to redesign products and terminate unviable customers to realise a significant profit improvement.

"Optimos helped us improve sales through our Corporate Partners channel – by providing our account managers with access to more accurate & timely MI. We now retain them each year to help fine tune & adjust our approach. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting the most from their investment in technology".

MULTINATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY

Our IT service management analysis focused on understanding the costs and revenues by service for £150m of shared service spend. We used this information to inform the implementation of an ITIL framework, reengineered services & SLA’s and a demand management team. This brought IT closer to the business, enabling joint strategic planning and a 10% switch from RTB to CTB.

A LEADING UK FRIENDLY SOCIETY

Our ‘Value for Money’ analysis looked at £500m of IT outsourcing spend. These results informed the development of a new in-house IT capability, a ‘SmartSource’ relationship with a UK outsourcer and resulted in investment in core platforms. This led to £30m projected savings as well as a 25% switch from RTB to CTB.

SAVINGS AND INVESTMENTS PROVIDER

We looked at the cost of service of the in-house IT department, with focus on personnel. Our analysis provided the basis for a new in-house strategy and the transfer of some capability to Indian Outsource. This provided £10m projected savings and the basis for further growth.

BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES

We sourced and analysed data on finance and personnel to provide a view of the profitability of the products and services for more than 10 credit unions across the UK. This allowed individual credit unions to decide which products and services to resource and enabled the association to reduce costs across the industry.
